It’s a Wonderful Day

My first Mother’s Day was wonderful.  I sure hope all the moms out there feel this way.  Hubs cooked a wonderful breakfast of banana waffles.  I was very impressed that he added his own twist to a recipe that he said was ridiculous because it actually called for “dirtying 3 bowls!”  He just couldn’t believe it and said he wouldn’t be making that one again since intentionally dirtying that many dishes was just plain ridiculous!  I chuckled.

My Mother’s Day flowers arrived a few day earlier which according to my hubs, the baby pushed the button to make the purchase.  Don’t think we should encourage the Internet shopping habits but she did a great job of picking out her first bundle.  Tulips and irises.

After a mid-morning family nap we headed out to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.  We have been talking about visiting this place for months and finally the opportunity arose.  It was an absolutely beautiful day with a cool breeze in the shade.

Next was Cura’s for amazing Enchiladas with carne guisada on top.  Wish I had taken a picture because it really was amazing.  Baby was ready for a nap so we skipped Amy’s and headed home to prepare the house for family coming in later this week.

This one was just funny.  I think she is pondering life or some great mathematical equation she will one day share with the world!   Thanks to my wonderful hubs and baby for making my first Mother’s Day a wonderful day!
